Nashville, TN was the perfect place record Never Sing The Blues Again. Going back to the home of some of my first ever musical influences, memories of listening to Country Greats on a mix cassette tape in my dad's car. All the hits like Jerry Reed singing 'Wayfairing Stranger', Marty Robbins with 'El Paso' and 'Cool water', 'North to Alaska,' by Johnny Horton and many more. I was no older than three, but that music has stuck with me to this day. I remember listening to my uncle finger picking Freight Train in the style of Chet Atkins, there must have been something about that sound that resonated with a young boy living in a suburb of Liverpool. My musical influences have been gathered from far and wide since then, but meeting Darrell Toney and coming back to Nashville, TN to complete my album was the perfect journey. He told me to buckle up 'cos it was going to be some ride. Boy was he right!!
